We need
your help!
We are currently looking for a
Secretary
for the 2008-2009 WOFM
Board. The Secretary would
need to attend Board
meetings and general
membership meetings and take
minutes to be reported the
following month.
We are also in need of a
Sunshine
Communications Volunteer.
This person would receive
information from members
about those that are ill and
would relay the information
to the group.
If you are interested in
helping out with either one
of these positions, please

April
Meeting Minutes
The Women of Flower Mound
General Meeting
April 8, 2008
The Women
of Flower Mound met on April
8, 2008 at Salerno’s.
President
Wendy Trayler called the
meeting to order at
approximately 7:00 PM. Wendy
welcomed those attending,
and introduced 4 guests.
Lifetime members were
introduced.
The
Sunshine Committee requested
continued prayer for several
members, some of whom are
ill themselves and others
who have loved ones who are
unwell. Condolences were
extended to Charma Kerr for
the loss of her mother. The
treasurer’s report was
available on the various
tables for review. A motion
was made to accept the
report; JaLynn West moved to
approve, and Susan Coats
seconded. Kris Vickrey moved
to approve the March
minutes, and Jennifer
Chavers seconded the motion.
Wendy announced that the
organization has raised
$8000 for scholarships this
year. She also announced
that Fish City Grill will
give 10% of the income from
food sales on May 6 to the
scholarship program. JaLynn
West, who will be the
president for 2008/2009,
asked that members to begin
thinking about donations for
the 2009 silent auction
fundraiser.
JaLynn
introduced Nancy Wilten,
master gardener, who
presented a wonderful
program with slideshow of
the many beautiful varieties
of roses which can be
successfully grown in the
north Texas area.
Split-the-pot went to Pat
Carillo and a local
elementary school. Rose
Norman was the recipient of
a lovely Estee Lauder
gift/door prize. Wendy
announced that the May
meeting will be held at
Capriccio’s in Parker
Square.
With all
business and program
concluded, the meeting was
adjourned at approximately
8:30 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Cheryl
Gist, Secretary
