Heartfelt thanks to those who have volunteered to chair our Committees. Whether overseeing a community event we support, a fundraising event, or our annual scholarships, our Committee Chairs are the lifeblood of our organization!

We are a busy organization who needs your help to ensure the success of our events and community activities. The main qualifications are enthusiasm and time!

Christmas Home Tours [Dec 8, 2017] – Jamie Augenstein-White, Chair

Our first major FUNdraiser of the year! Volunteers are needed to help sell tickets, be stationed at the homes along the tour, greet guests and decorate for the luncheon.

Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony [Dec 9, 2017] – Angie Cox, Chair

We need volunteers to help WOFM serve hot chocolate at the town of Flower Mound’s Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony. This event, in it’s 28th year, takes place in the evening and features choir performances, pictures with Santa Claus, carriage rides, kids’ activities, petting zoo, local vendors, food trucks, and more. December 9th, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Easter Sunrise on the Mound Chair [Apr 1, 2018] – Chair & Volunteer Positions Open

Contact local donut shops for donations for the sunrise service on the Mound.  Work the morning of the service, assisting with setup and giving out donuts to participants.

Fashion Show [Apr 14, 2018] – Angie Cox, Chair

This is our main FUNdraiser for the year.  We will need people to help sell tickets to the show, coordinate fashions and models.  Funds are raised through a silent auction.  We will contact local businesses to donate items for the auction.  There are many different volunteer opportunities to make this huge event a success.

Independence Day Children’s Parade Booth Chair [Jul 4, 2018] – Chair & Volunteer Positions Open

The Women of Flower Mound will join other volunteers to distribute hot dogs or popcorn to the participants at this popular Town of Flower Mound event. Kids of all ages come with their bikes, tricycles, wagons and strollers decorated in red, white and blue to ride in the parade.

Santa Cops [Dec 2017] – Eileen Shearer, Chair

Helping Flower Mound children in need.  Volunteers needed to solicit donations from local businesses and individuals, and purchase gifts.

Scholarships [May 8, 2018] – Eileen ShearerJane Fouty, Co-Chairs

Assist in reviewing scholarship applications. Deliver application packets to area school counselors.  Assist in the review process to select current year scholarship recipients.

Wine Tasting Event [Feb 10, 2018] – Robin Perozzi, Chair

One of our FUNdraising events! Volunteers needed to pour wine, greet guests, decorate,  pre-event set-up and after-event clean up; work the check in table the evening of the event.
