Fashion Show and Silent Auction

 The Women of Flower Mound organization was established in 1975. WOFM is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization (tax id 75-2239727) which is currently in its 34th year of fundraising and community service.

 WOFM is committed to various activities within the community, such as helping those less fortunate through the Adopt-A-Family program, participating in the annual Holiday Stroll with the Town of Flower Mound, assisting with the Flower Mound Independence Day Children’s Parade, the Easter Sunrise Service on the Mound as well as contributing to local elementary schools and non-profit organizations. WOFM does not endorse, participate or engage in any political campaigning or fundraising. Our year long fundraising efforts culminate with an annual Fashion Show.

 Every year the Women of Flower Mound hold its Fashion Show and Silent Auction. The primary goal of the fashion show is to raise money for scholarships benefiting Flower Mound graduating seniors towards continued education. We are rewarded in our efforts by the opportunity to see outstanding teenagers begin new courses of study that will lead them to contribute their talents in the workplace. Again this year we are making a monetary donation, this time benefiting the veterans and troops.

 This year’s Fashion Show “Salute the Troops: Honor our Soldiers, both Past and Present” is scheduled for Friday April 23^rd, 2010 beginning at 7:00pm. The event will include a dinner, fashion show, silent auction, and door prizes. Our scholarship fund was formed in 1988 and each year, due to the generosity of local businesses, we have been able to increase the number of scholarships awarded each year. Proceeds from this event will go to Scholarships, Veterans and Troops. In 2009, the WOFM awarded 4 scholarships of $1,500 and awarded $2,000 to Friends of the Family.

Our goal for this year is to raise $15,000.

We hope you will be willing to support this important endeavor by Sponsorship or donating an item for our silent auction. Please find enclosed a donation form that needs to be completed for each item submitted. All donations must be received by Sunday, April 11^th, 2010. Your business will receive recognition in our program as well as other local publicity announcements. We will be publicizing the event to the whole community and anticipate an increased attendance of 400 for this year’s event.
