Meetings
We meet
on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from September through May. Meetings are
held at Salerno's Restaurant at 3407 Long Prairie Rd. (FM 2499) in
Flower Mound, Texas,
www.salernositalian.com unless noted in the program schedule. Meetings
include a fun and interesting program, door prizes and a delicious dinner, as
well as the month's club business.
Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
for registration and get acquainted time.
Dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. We generally conclude between 8:30 and 9:00
p.m.
Cost is $17.00, or $15.00 if you RSVP by
noon on the Monday before
the meeting, or have a standing "Yes" RSVP. Cash, or a check made out to
"WOFM",
is accepted at the door.
Each evening we hold a
"split-the-pot" raffle to benefit local elementary schools. Tickets are $2
or 3 for $5. Guests are always welcome!

12 - Lori Krouskos, Communities in Schools - As President Elect and spokesperson for Communities
in Schools of North Texas, Lori will share how this non-profit
organization intervenes with the school age, at-risk children in Denton
County. The prevalence of language barriers, drug abuse and lack of
parent involvement are some of the issues which inhibit our youth
from academic success. Lori's story will inspire you to get involved
in this wonderful organization which reaches out to our youth.

11 - Susan Coats, Belk Department Store - Susan will share the latest
style
and colors for Easter and Spring, how to coordinate your accessories and go
from daytime to evening. She will also share new products for skin
care and the "in" colors for makeup this spring.

8 - Nancy Wilten, Texas Master Gardener - Nancy will delight us with her
knowledge of growing orchids. She has been an active orchid grower
since the mid-70's. Since returning to Dallas in 1983, she has moved
from growing orchids in her home to becoming a greenhouse grower.
Having lived in a variety of climates, Nancy is familiar with the challenges
of gardening in the Dallas climate. Come learn and bring your
tough gardening questions for Nancy.
